Titans offseason preview at LB: Pending free agents, biggest needs

The Tennessee Titans have some work to do in the offseason, particularly at the linebacker position. Both Azeez Al-Shaair and Jack Gibbens, who were starters, are free agents. Al-Shaair was a standout player and a leader, making him a popular choice to return in 2024. Gibbens, on the other hand, proved to be better suited as a backup. The Titans have several linebackers under contract, including Luke Gifford and Otis Reese IV. Reese showed promise towards the end of the season and could potentially be LB3 in 2024. Gifford, however, is a candidate to be cut due to his injury-plagued 2023 campaign. The Titans also have pending free agents in Al-Shaair, Gibbens, and Joseph Jones. Al-Shaair was the team's best linebacker and should be a priority to re-sign. The Titans' biggest needs are at LB1 and LB2 since they don't have a locked-in starter for 2024. Re-signing Al-Shaair and exploring free agency, potentially targeting players like Patrick Queen, would be the best route to address these needs.
