The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to take a major leap in the 2024 NFL season, according to CBS Sports' Jeff Kerr. Despite a disappointing 2023 season, which was plagued by injuries to starting quarterback Joe Burrow, the Bengals finished with a 9-8 record. With Burrow expected to be healthy next season and most of the roster still under contract, Kerr believes the Bengals have the potential for a deep playoff run. The team has some decisions to make regarding player retention and roster changes, but with $59.4 million in salary cap space, they have room to make improvements. The Bengals have a history of success when Burrow is on the field, reaching the AFC Championship when he plays more than 10 games. The other teams expected to take a major leap in 2024, according to Kerr, are the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, and Los Angeles Rams.
