According to Paul Dehner of The Athletic, it is expected that the Cincinnati Bengals will use the franchise tag on impending free agent Tee Higgins. The Bengals may apply the tag early in the window to generate trade interest. Both sides were hoping for a long-term deal, but it seems unlikely. There were reports that the Bengals didn't view Higgins as part of the team's future, but it's believed to be more of a push from his agent. Higgins leaving Cincinnati appears inevitable due to JaMarr Chase's upcoming high-paid contract in 2025. It's possible that the Bengals may trade Higgins if they receive a first-round pick or more in return.
