Chargers hire former Bolt great Nick Hardwick as assistant offensive line coach

The Chargers have added former player Nick Hardwick to their coaching staff as an assistant offensive line coach. Hardwick, who was the team's center for eleven seasons, brings a reliable and cerebral presence to the team. The Chargers have struggled to find a suitable replacement for Hardwick since his retirement in 2014. Hardwick was critical of the team's move to Los Angeles but eventually rejoined the organization in 2017. With the hiring of head coach Jim Harbaugh and now Hardwick, there may be an attempt to mend the relationship with San Diego fans. Hardwick's coaching potential and energy make him a valuable addition to the staff.
