The Los Angeles Chargers have hired Sanjay Lal, former pass-game coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, as their new wide receivers coach. Lal has previous experience coaching wideouts for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, and Indianapolis Colts. During his time with the Seahawks, Lal helped the team achieve three 1,000-yard seasons from wide receivers D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. He also played a role in helping Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup reach the 1,000-yard mark with the Cowboys in 2019. Lal began his NFL career with the Oakland Raiders in 2007 and later coached wide receivers for the team from 2009-2011.
