The Seattle Seahawks have hired Jay Harbaugh as their special teams coordinator, which means Ryan Ficken is likely to remain with the Los Angeles Chargers. Harbaugh, previously rumored to join his father Jim in LA, will now join the Seahawks and work with former colleague Mike Macdonald. Ficken has been instrumental in improving the Chargers' special teams performance, leading them to a fifth-place finish last year. While Ficken's return is not confirmed, the Chargers have not interviewed other candidates and are blocking other teams from speaking to him. Harbaugh's signing with Seattle should speed up the process of finalizing Ficken's return to LA.
