The Los Angeles Chargers have hired Chad Alexander as their new assistant general manager. Alexander spent five seasons with the New York Jets as their director of player personnel, working closely with general manager Joe Douglas and former assistant general manager Rex Hogan. Prior to his time with the Jets, Alexander worked for 20 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens in various roles. He is familiar with Chargers general manager Joe Hortiz, as they worked together in Baltimore. Alexander played football at Wake Forest and holds a degree in communications.
