Mike Zimmer is equipped to back up his words

Mike Zimmer, the new defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, has a strong coaching history that suggests he can deliver on his promises. His previous experience as the Cowboys' defensive coordinator in 2003 showed success, with a top-ranked defense in yards allowed. Zimmer's ability to adapt to the talent available, as seen when he switched to a 3-4 defense to accommodate DeMarcus Ware, is a plus. He also appears to prioritize getting the job done over personal credit, as shown by his support for retaining coach Al Harris.
