Former Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, who was drafted in 2013, has joined the coaching staff of the Washington Commanders as an assistant defensive line coach. Floyd previously worked with new Commanders head coach Dan Quinn during their time with the Dallas Cowboys. Despite his history with the Vikings and their former head coach Mike Zimmer, Floyd has shown loyalty to Quinn by joining his coaching staff. Floyd's playing career was cut short due to a surgery error, making his transition into coaching a positive development. It remains to be seen if Floyd's coaching career will eventually lead him back to the Vikings.
