Assistant coach Karl Scott will remain with Seahawks

Seahawks assistant coach Karl Scott was interviewed by the Arizona Cardinals for their defensive coordinator position. Despite the interest, Scott will remain with the Seahawks, as the Cardinals are expected to retain Nick Rallis in the role, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. Scott has been with the Seahawks for four seasons as the defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator. Under his guidance, the Seahawks achieved top rankings in scoring defense in 2025, and were among the top ten in passing defense and interceptions. Scott has previously interviewed for defensive coordinator positions with the Commanders and the Raiders but has limited coordinating experience, with only one stint at Southeastern Louisiana in 2014. He began his NFL coaching career with the Vikings in 2021 after 14 years in college football.
