Baker Mayfield doubtful to return vs. Rams with left shoulder injury

Baker Mayfield is unlikely to continue playing in Sunday's game against the Rams due to a left shoulder injury sustained in the first half. Despite completing the first half without missing a snap, Mayfield appeared to be in significant pain, especially after a Hail Mary attempt to end the second quarter. Teddy Bridgewater is set to replace Mayfield for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bridgewater, preparing to take the field as the second half begins, is poised to make his first regular-season pass since 2022. Mayfield completed the first half with 9-of-19 passing for 41 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, in addition to rushing for 19 yards on four attempts. The Rams currently lead the Buccaneers 31-7 early in the third quarter.
