Baker Mayfield is trending toward starting on Sunday

Baker Mayfield is expected to start as quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Mayfield suffered a left shoulder sprain during last Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, forcing him to leave at halftime. After missing Wednesday's practice, Mayfield participated in a limited capacity on Thursday. Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles indicated that Mayfield is on track to start, stating that he "moved around perfectly" during practice. If Mayfield is unable to play, Teddy Bridgewater, who stepped in during the Rams game, would start in his place.
