Bears' 281 rushing yards were the most against a Vic Fangio defense since 2005

The Chicago Bears dominated the Philadelphia Eagles with a powerful ground game in their 24-15 victory on Friday. Chicago amassed 281 rushing yards, marking the highest total allowed by a Vic Fangio-coached defense since his tenure with the Houston Texans in 2005. Fangio, who became the Eagles' defensive coordinator in 2024, had not previously allowed more than 174 rushing yards in a game this season. Former Eagles running back D’Andre Swift contributed significantly with 18 carries for 125 yards, while rookie Kyle Monangai added 130 yards on 22 attempts. Both players scored touchdowns. The Eagles, who have been primarily concerned with offensive struggles this season, now face additional challenges on defense as they prepare for their upcoming Week 14 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
