Bears put T.J. Edwards, Ozzy Trapilo on injured reserve

The Chicago Bears have placed linebacker T.J. Edwards and left tackle Ozzy Trapilo on injured reserve, effectively ending their seasons. Edwards sustained a fractured fibula in the wild card victory over the Green Bay Packers, while Trapilo suffered a ruptured patellar tendon. During the regular season, Edwards recorded 67 tackles, one interception, and a half-sack over 10 games. Following his injury, Tremaine Edmunds and D’Marco Jackson took over linebacker duties, and the team signed Jalen Reeves-Maybin from the practice squad to bolster the position. In response to Trapilo's injury, the Bears activated offensive tackle Braxton Jones from injured reserve, providing him and Theo Benedet as potential replacements for the remainder of the postseason.
