Bengals re-sign QB Sean Clifford to practice squad

The Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed quarterback Sean Clifford to their practice squad. This move follows Clifford being waived from the active roster on Monday, after which he cleared waivers. The decision comes as Joe Burrow returns from injured reserve, leaving Burrow, Joe Flacco, and Jake Browning as the active quarterbacks for the Bengals. Clifford, who joined the active roster on October 31 due to Burrow's injury, served as the emergency third quarterback and was inactive for the last three games. Originally a fifth-round draft pick by the Green Bay Packers in 2023, Clifford played in two games during his rookie season, completing one pass for 37 yards. He spent the 2024 season on Green Bay's practice squad before being waived after the preseason.
