Browns request defensive coordinator interviews with Jonathan Cooley, Mike Rutenberg

The Cleveland Browns have expanded their search for a new defensive coordinator by requesting interviews with Jonathan Cooley and Mike Rutenberg. Cooley, currently the Panthers' passing game coordinator, has been with Carolina for three years and previously worked with the Rams and in various college programs. Rutenberg, the Falcons' passing game coordinator, was previously considered for the same role with the Tennessee Titans before they appointed Gus Bradley. Rutenberg has also spent four years with the New York Jets. These moves are part of Todd Monken's efforts to assemble his coaching staff.
