Bucs interview Mike McDaniel for their OC opening

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have conducted an interview with former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel for their offensive coordinator position. This follows the team's decision to part ways with previous offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard after just one season. The interview took place at the Buccaneers' training facility.

McDaniel served as the Dolphins' head coach from 2022 to 2025 and was known for his offensive play-calling. Under his leadership, the Dolphins ranked eighth in the NFL for both net yards per game and passing yards per game, along with recording the sixth-best yards per carry average and the 12th-most points scored per game.

In addition to McDaniel, the Buccaneers have considered several other candidates for the offensive coordinator role, including Todd Monken, Mike Kafka, Brian Callahan, David Shaw, Israel Woolfork, and Zac Robinson.
