Cardinals request to interview Charlie Bullen, Aubrey Pleasant for their DC job

The Arizona Cardinals have appointed Nathaniel Hackett as their new offensive coordinator. The team is still in the process of selecting a defensive coordinator and has requested interviews with two candidates: Charlie Bullen, the current New York Giants outside linebackers coach, and Aubrey Pleasant, the assistant head coach and defensive pass game coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams.

Aubrey Pleasant, who was also considered for the Los Angeles Chargers' defensive coordinator position, has been with the Rams for the past three seasons alongside new Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur. Pleasant brings 13 years of NFL coaching experience, having worked with teams such as Washington, Cleveland, Detroit, and Green Bay.

Charlie Bullen, who served as the Giants' interim defensive coordinator after the dismissal of Shane Bowen, was retained as the outside linebackers coach by new head coach John Harbaugh. Bullen has prior experience with the Cardinals, having coached there from 2019 to 2022, and has also worked with the Miami Dolphins
