Cardinals retaining Nick Rallis as defensive coordinator on Mike LaFleur's staff

Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur has finalized his coordinator appointments. Defensive coordinator Nick Rallis will remain in his role, as reported by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Rallis, who joined the Cardinals in 2023 under former head coach Jonathan Gannon, previously served as a linebackers coach in Philadelphia. Despite a challenging 2025 season due to injuries, where the Cardinals' defense ranked 27th in yards allowed and 29th in points per game, Rallis will continue to lead the defense.

Additionally, the Cardinals have appointed Michael Ghobrial as their special teams coordinator. Ghobrial has prior experience working with LaFleur during their tenure with the New York Jets. These staffing decisions, including the hiring of Nathaniel Hackett as offensive coordinator, complete LaFleur's coaching team as he prepares for his first season as head coach.
