Chargers add Adam Gase to coaching staff

Adam Gase has returned to the NFL, hired by the Los Angeles Chargers, as reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Although his official role has not been disclosed, Gase is anticipated to serve as an offensive passing game coach. Gase, 47, last coached as head coach of the New York Jets in 2019 and 2020. His career also includes a stint as head coach of the Miami Dolphins from 2016 to 2018 and roles as offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos. The Chargers, under head coach Jim Harbaugh, have recently restructured their offensive coaching staff by dismissing coordinator Greg Roman and appointing Mike McDaniel as his successor. Gase joins the Chargers alongside McDaniel, marking the addition of a second former Dolphins head coach to the team's offensive staff.
