Chiefs sign Dameon Pierce to practice squad

The Kansas City Chiefs have added running back Dameon Pierce to their practice squad, as announced by the team on Monday. To make room for Pierce, the Chiefs released wide receiver Jimmy Holiday from the practice squad. The addition of Pierce comes as the Chiefs seek reinforcements at the running back position due to Isiah Pacheco's absence. Pierce, a 2022 fourth-round pick, was recently released by the Houston Texans. During his rookie season, he led the Texans with 939 rushing yards but has since been relegated to a reserve role, accumulating 10 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown this season. Several other teams, including the Chargers, Broncos, Bears, Eagles, Colts, Bengals, and Dolphins, also expressed interest in Pierce.
