Commanders CB Marshon Lattimore arrested in Ohio on weapons charges

Washington Commanders cornerback Marshon Lattimore was arrested in Ohio on Wednesday night on weapons charges. According to Lakewood Police Department records, Lattimore faces charges of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and carrying concealed weapons, both felony offenses. The arrest occurred in Lakewood, Ohio, approximately four miles west of downtown Cleveland, around 6:14 p.m. ET.

The Commanders acknowledged the arrest in a statement, noting they are gathering more information and are in communication with the NFL League Office. Lattimore, a Cleveland native, recently completed his ninth NFL season. During his first full year with the Commanders, he started all nine games he played, recording 27 tackles, seven passes defensed, a fumble recovery, and an interception before a torn ACL ended his season. Lattimore, acquired from the Saints in a midseason trade in 2024, has one year remaining on his contract with Washington, though it does not include a guaranteed salary.
