Commanders want to interview Brian Flores for defensive coordinator

The Minnesota Vikings anticipate retaining Brian Flores as their defensive coordinator unless he secures a head coaching position. Despite this, the Washington Commanders are reportedly interested in interviewing Flores for a role on Dan Quinn’s coaching staff, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. Flores recently completed his third season as Minnesota's defensive coordinator. He is also scheduled to interview with the Baltimore Ravens for their head coaching vacancy this week. Flores previously served as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins, posting a 24-25 record over three seasons before being dismissed in 2021. Following his firing, Flores filed a lawsuit against the Dolphins, the NFL, and three other teams, alleging racial discrimination, with the case still ongoing.
