Davis Mills did not travel with Texans, questionable for Monday for personal reasons

The Houston Texans may face a shortage at the quarterback position as backup Davis Mills is questionable for Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to personal reasons. Mills did not travel with the team on Sunday. Should Mills be unavailable, sixth-round pick Graham Mertz, who has not yet played in a regular season game, is the alternative to back up starter C.J. Stroud. Mills previously started three games when Stroud was out with a concussion, leading the team to three wins and completing 69-of-116 passes for 719 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. Additionally, the Texans announced that cornerback Ajani Carter will remain on injured reserve and will not be activated for the game.
