Defensive Player of the Year: Myles Garrett

Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year at the NFL Honors, becoming the second player to win the award unanimously, following J.J. Watt in 2014. Garrett received all 50 first-place votes, totaling 500 points, surpassing Texans edge rusher Will Anderson Jr., who finished second with 177 points. This marks Garrett's second DPOY award, having previously won in 2023.

Garrett made history during the season by setting the NFL single-season sack record with 23 sacks in Week 18 and breaking the Browns’ single-season sack record that he set in 2021 and tied in 2022. He also became the first player since 1982 to record 12 sacks in six consecutive seasons and set the record for most sacks by a player under the age of 30, surpassing Reggie White.
