Dolphins GM search down to four candidates

The Miami Dolphins are in the process of hiring a new General Manager following the dismissal of Chris Grier on October 31. The team has narrowed its list to four candidates for in-person interviews: Chad Alexander, the Chargers assistant GM; Jon-Eric Sullivan, Packers vice president of player personnel; Josh Williams, 49ers director of scouting and football operations; and Champ Kelly, the Dolphins' interim GM. The search, which includes Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, also initially considered several other candidates who underwent virtual interviews, such as Tariq Ahmad from the 49ers, Alec Halaby from the Eagles, John McKay from the Rams, and RJ Gillen from the 49ers. McDaniel has previous ties with Williams from their time together in San Francisco between 2017 and 2021.
