Dolphins sign LB Caleb Johnson to the active roster

The Miami Dolphins have signed linebacker Caleb Johnson to their active roster from the practice squad. Johnson, who has not yet played a regular-season game this year, has appeared in 65 career games over four seasons with the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars. His career stats include one tackle, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and 37 special teams tackles. Johnson also participated in two postseason games with Jacksonville in 2022. Originally entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Chicago in 2021, Johnson now adds depth to the Dolphins' linebacker corps.

Additionally, the Dolphins have added linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo to their practice squad. Ciarlo, who played one game with the Buffalo Bills this season, initially joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets in 2024, spending that season on the injured reserve list.
