Falcons to interview Panthers executive VP Brandt Tillis for president of football ops

The Atlanta Falcons are interviewing Brandt Tillis, the Carolina Panthers' executive vice president, for the position of president of football operations, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. The Falcons have also requested an interview with Detroit Lions COO Mike Disner for the same role. The team is reportedly considering offering the newly created position to former Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. Tillis, who joined the Panthers in January 2024, has extensive experience, having spent 14 years with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was instrumental in negotiating Patrick Mahomes' contract. The Falcons are concurrently searching for a new General Manager and head coach following the recent dismissal of Terry Fontenot and Raheem Morris.
