Falcons will hire a new president of football

The Atlanta Falcons are set to make significant changes beyond hiring a new head coach and general manager, as team owner Arthur Blank announced the addition of a new president of football from outside the organization. This new executive will be responsible for setting the vision and identity of the team and will have final decision-making authority on football-related matters. The head coach and general manager will report to this new president and work collaboratively on football decisions. Additionally, Greg Beadles has been promoted to president and CEO, succeeding Rich McKay, who will assume a larger role within the Arthur M. Blank Sports and Entertainment organization. There is also speculation that former quarterback Matt Ryan may return to the Falcons in an executive capacity.
