Football player at southern Colorado college hired 3 men to kill dorm neighbor, police say

A Fort Lewis College football player, Jackson Thomas Keller, 19, has been arrested for allegedly hiring three men to kill his residence hall neighbor following a dispute over hair left in a shared shower. The incident involving Keller, who is accused of soliciting a homicide and illegally carrying a weapon on campus, unfolded after tensions escalated between him and the targeted student, who was also a member of the college's football team.

The conflict began with an argument over the shared bathroom in Cooper Hall and intensified when the targeted student started locking his door, preventing Keller from accessing his room. The situation escalated further on January 28 when the student confronted Keller, leading to a physical altercation where the student's actions resulted in damage to Keller's TV and PlayStation.
