Former Baylor defensive back Carl Williams IV commits to transfer to Oregon

Oregon Ducks have secured a commitment from former Baylor defensive back Carl Williams IV, who is transferring with two seasons of eligibility left. The 6-foot-1, 192-pound player missed most of the current season due to injury, participating in only one game. In 2024, Williams recorded 32 tackles, five for loss, along with one sack, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble across seven games despite battling injuries. In 2023, he had 19 tackles, two for loss, an interception, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble. Williams, a former three-star recruit from Southern Lab in Louisiana, is the first addition to Oregon's secondary, which recently lost six players to transfer. His transfer marks the eighth addition to the Ducks this offseason, bringing their projected scholarship players to 77 for the 2026 season.
