Georgia's place in the game was confirmed after Texas A&M's loss to Texas, which provided Georgia with a tiebreaker advantage.

This will be Georgia's fifth consecutive appearance in the SEC Championship Game, holding a 2-2 record in their last four appearances. Last year, they claimed victory against the Texas Longhorns in overtime. A win against Alabama could secure Georgia a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff, while a loss might affect their playoff seeding.
