Giants claim S Beau Brade, CB Rico Payton off of waivers

The New York Giants have made roster changes to enhance their secondary by claiming safety Beau Brade and cornerback Rico Payton off waivers. To accommodate these new additions, the team waived cornerback Korie Black and released wide receiver Gunner Olszewski. Beau Brade, previously with the Ravens, participated in 11 games primarily on special teams, recording three tackles. Rico Payton, who played for the Saints, contributed 11 tackles across 16 games, also as a special teams player.

Additionally, the Giants have announced 13 signings to their practice squad, which now has four remaining openings due to kicker Jude McAtamney's international exemption. The new practice squad members include defensive linemen Elijah Chatman, Elijah Garcia, and Jordon Riley; linebackers Trace Ford and Tomon Fox; offensive linemen Bryan Hudson and Jake Kubas; wide receivers Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Ihmir Smith-Marsette; and defensive backs Raheem Layne and Dee Williams.
