How Penn State's Quarterbacks Room Will Shake Out This Spring

Jake Waters has joined Penn State as the quarterbacks coach, following Matt Campbell from Iowa State, where Waters served as the Cyclones' quarterbacks coach for the past two seasons. Waters, who had previously been recruited by Penn State in 2012 before transferring to Kansas State, expressed a long-standing interest in the university. At Penn State, Waters will work alongside former Nittany Lion Trace McSorley to develop a new group of quarterbacks, including Iowa State transfer Rocco Becht, who is recovering from a shoulder surgery. The quarterback room also features Alex Manske, a former Cyclone, along with newcomers Peyton Falzone, Kase Evans, and Connor Barry. Waters' coaching career began with Campbell at Iowa State in 2017, and he credits Campbell with providing opportunities for growth in his coaching journey.
