Jim Mora Takes UConn Executive to New Team

The UConn Huskies are experiencing a significant change as head coach Jim Mora departs to take the head coaching position at Colorado State University. Mora, who played a pivotal role in revitalizing UConn's football program over his four-year tenure, leaves after leading the team to two consecutive nine-win seasons and three bowl game appearances. Along with Mora, UConn's Executive Director of Football, Justin Cummings-Morrow, will also transition to Colorado State. Cummings-Morrow joined UConn in 2023 and was responsible for overseeing the football budget, team travel, and serving as a liaison for various administrative functions.

Mora's departure marks a substantial loss for UConn, as he leaves behind a 27-23 record and was recognized as the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston 2024 Head Coach of the Year. The move has prompted running back Victor Rosa to announce his intention to enter the transfer portal, suggesting potential further player exits.
