Porter, who played with Roethlisberger for three years and won Super Bowl XL, expressed that Roethlisberger was not respected within the Steelers organization. He cited instances like the lack of a player vote for Roethlisberger as team captain, which he claims was due to his teammates' unwillingness to support him in that role. Heyward, a longtime teammate of Roethlisberger, did not contradict Porter's statements during the podcast.
