Las Vegas Raiders Request Interview with Former College Football Head Coach

Eight NFL teams, including the Las Vegas Raiders, are in search of new head coaches. The Raiders, having previously hired inexperienced Antonio Pierce and then the seasoned Pete Carroll, are now considering a different approach by looking into college football for potential candidates. They have requested to interview Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, who has previous head coaching experience at Boston College with a record of 22-26 and a bowl win over four seasons. Hafley's success with the Packers’ defense, which ranked sixth and 11th in points allowed over the past two seasons, has made him a top candidate. Besides the Raiders, Hafley has also been approached by the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, and Tennessee Titans for their head coaching vacancies.
