LB Eric Kendricks signs with the 49ers' practice squad

Veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks has joined the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad, a move that follows his decision to decline a spot on the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad last month. To accommodate Kendricks, the 49ers released linebacker Stone Blanton from their practice squad. Kendricks, who underwent shoulder surgery in the offseason, played 15 games for the Dallas Cowboys last season, recording 138 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. In 2023, he was with the Los Angeles Chargers, having previously spent eight seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. Over his career, Kendricks has played in 147 games, amassing 1,174 tackles, 21.5 sacks, 11 interceptions, 60 passes defensed, eight forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries.
