Montana LB Solomon Tuliaupupu ready for a 9th season. Will it be his last?

Montana linebacker Solomon Tuliaupupu, at 25 years old, has been granted a ninth year of college football eligibility by the NCAA. Tuliaupupu's career has been marked by significant injuries, including multiple ACL tears and foot fractures, which have interrupted his playing time since his high school days at Mater Dei High in California. After beginning his college career at USC and transitioning from linebacker to defensive end, he faced numerous setbacks, including injuries and personal losses.

In 2025, Tuliaupupu transferred to the University of Montana, where he played 14 games and recorded 43 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, and two forced fumbles. As his ninth year approaches, he remains focused on completing his college football journey on a high note. Montana's coaching staff offered him the chance to return for another season following their successful 13-2 run to the FCS semifinals.
