Panthers rule out Jaycee Horn, four others for Sunday

Cornerback Jaycee Horn will be absent from the Panthers' lineup when they face the Rams on Sunday due to a concussion sustained in the loss to the 49ers. Head coach Dave Canales confirmed Horn's unavailability and also announced that cornerback Corey Thornton has been placed on injured reserve. This leaves Mike Jackson, Chau Smith-Wade, and Akayleb Evans as the primary cornerbacks for Carolina.

The Panthers will also be without center Cade Mays, who is dealing with an ankle injury, and right guard Chandler Zavala, who has a calf injury. Austin Corbett and Jake Curhan are expected to fill in for Mays and Zavala, respectively.

Additionally, linebackers Claudin Cherelus (concussion) and Christian Rozeboom (hip, hamstring) will not play. The Panthers have signed Isaiah Simmons to their practice squad, and he may be elevated to add depth at the linebacker position.
