Past/Present: Terence Newman to be inducted into College Football Hall of Fame

Terence Newman, a former standout at Kansas State, has been selected for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. Newman, who starred as a versatile player for Kansas State, was instrumental in 39 victories over his four-year college career, earning accolades such as the 2002 Big XII Defensive Player of the Year and two-time All-American honors. He was also a significant contributor on special teams and even played some wide receiver. Drafted fifth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in 2003, Newman was the first selection under head coach Bill Parcells. He spent nine seasons with the Cowboys, achieving two Pro Bowl selections and accumulating 32 interceptions, ranking seventh in team history. His NFL career spanned 15 years, also including stints with the Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings, and he remains one of seven players to have an interception in each of his first 15 seasons.
