Report: Bucs believe Baker Mayfield suffered sprained AC joint in left shoulder

Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield is believed to have suffered a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Initial tests showed no fracture or structural damage, but Mayfield is awaiting MRI results to confirm the injury's extent. Despite the injury, the Buccaneers have not ruled out Mayfield for their upcoming game against the Cardinals. Mayfield sustained the injury in the first half of a loss to the Rams and did not play in the second half after aggravating it. Previously, Mayfield dealt with a torn labrum in his left shoulder in 2021 while with the Browns. This season, Mayfield has completed 62.7% of his passes for 2,406 yards, with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions in 11 games.
