Report: Cardinals interview Seahawks assistant Karl Scott for DC job

The Arizona Cardinals have interviewed Karl Scott, the Seattle Seahawks' defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator, for their defensive coordinator position. Scott has been with the Seahawks for four seasons, during which the team led the league in scoring defense in 2025 and ranked high in both passing defense and interceptions. Previously, Scott was considered for the defensive coordinator roles with the Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders. He started his NFL coaching career with the Minnesota Vikings in 2021 after coaching in college football for 14 years. The Cardinals are also considering Rams defensive passing game coordinator Aubrey Pleasant and Giants linebackers coach Charlie Bullen for the position, which was held by Nick Rallis for the last three seasons.
