Report: With Nate Hobbs out multiple games, Packers have interest in Asante Samuel

Packers cornerback Nate Hobbs is set to miss at least the next two games due to a sprained MCL in his knee, according to PackersNews. The injury, which affects a different knee than the one he had surgery on for a torn meniscus, was confirmed by an MRI as a grade 1 sprain that will not require surgery. Hobbs had been limited to 23 defensive snaps over the past two weeks. In response to Hobbs' absence, the Packers are considering signing free agent cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. Samuel has been cleared for football activities following spinal fusion surgery in April.
