Reports: Brian Flores, Anthony Weaver to have in-person interviews with Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are moving forward with a second round of interviews for their head coaching vacancy. Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who served as a defensive assistant under Mike Tomlin in 2022, is scheduled for an in-person interview. Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver is also anticipated to interview in person, with all current NFL team-employed coaches required to interview virtually until the divisional round of the playoffs concludes.

Additionally, the Steelers plan to meet with former Cowboys and Packers head coach Mike McCarthy. Other candidates who have been interviewed include Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula, Rams pass game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase, Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, and 49ers offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak. Shula and Scheelhaase will not be available for further interviews until after the NFC Championship Game.
