SMU football moves future Oklahoma, LSU home games to AT&T Stadium

SMU football will relocate two major future home games to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The Mustangs will host Oklahoma on September 11, 2027, and LSU on September 1, 2029, at this venue. This move marks a return to playing at a Cowboys' stadium, as SMU previously held home games at Texas Stadium from 1979 to 1986. The decision to play at AT&T Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 80,000 compared to Gerald J. Ford Stadium's 32,000, aims to enhance revenue, brand visibility, and engagement opportunities.

These games are part of home-and-home series agreements, with SMU having lost to Oklahoma 28-11 in 2023 and scheduled to play LSU in Baton Rouge on September 2, 2028.
