Stanford to hire Commanders QB coach Tavita Pritchard as next head coach

Andrew Luck has appointed Tavita Pritchard as the next head coach of Stanford's football team. Pritchard, who is currently serving as the quarterbacks coach for the Washington Commanders, will assume his new role after the Commanders' game against the Broncos. Luck, who is the General Manager of the Stanford football program, previously played alongside Pritchard and has also hired his former Colts coach, Frank Reich, as Stanford's interim head coach this year. Pritchard has a long history with Stanford, having started as a graduate assistant in 2010 and remaining with the team until 2022 before joining the Commanders. Reich has led the team to a 4-7 record this season, which concludes with a game against Notre Dame.
