Steelers announce Brian Angelichio as OC, Domata Peko as DL coach

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced the hiring of five assistant coaches to join Mike McCarthy's staff. Brian Angelichio will serve as the offensive coordinator, coming from a role as the passing game coordinator and tight ends coach for the Minnesota Vikings. He previously worked with McCarthy as a tight ends coach for the Green Bay Packers. Danny Crossman has been appointed as the special teams coordinator, and Joe Whitt will take on the role of assistant head coach/secondary coach. Domata Peko, a former NFL defensive lineman, will become the defensive line coach, having previously coached at the University of Colorado and worked with McCarthy at the Dallas Cowboys. Pat Reilly joins as a defensive quality control coach, transitioning from his previous position as an offensive assistant with the Houston Texans.
