Texas college football icons Mack Brown and R.C. Slocum lauded at MD Anderson’s A Conversation With a Living Legend® Houston

Mack Brown and R.C. Slocum, prominent figures in college football coaching, led "A Conversation with a Living Legend®" event at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center on February 3, raising over $1.5 million for cancer research. The event is part of MD Anderson's major fundraising campaign, "Only Possible Here," which aims to raise $2.5 billion and has already accumulated $1.98 billion. Slocum, a former Texas A&M head coach, was treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma at MD Anderson and shared his gratitude for the care he received. Brown, former head coach of the Texas Longhorns, emphasized the importance of relationships both in football and life, underscoring the event's theme of uniting against cancer. The gathering was attended by over 600 supporters and highlighted the ongoing efforts to advance cancer research.
