Texas Tech Red Raiders to hire Imarjaye Albury as defensive line coach

The Texas Tech Red Raiders have appointed Imarjaye Albury as their new defensive line coach. Albury joins Texas Tech after a five-year tenure with the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL, where he held various coaching roles, including assistant defensive line coach. This move is part of Texas Tech's recent strategy of acquiring NFL coaching talent, following the hiring of Jacquies Smith from the Atlanta Falcons as the outside linebackers coach. Albury brings collegiate coaching experience from his time as a defensive graduate assistant with the Arkansas Razorbacks and a defensive line coach at Cortland State University. His playing career includes stints with West Virginia and FIU, where he was a three-year starter and team Defensive MVP in 2016. The addition of Albury aims to bolster Texas Tech's defensive line, which has recently attracted top transfers.
